Coming from passion for cinema and photography background, Romas Usakovas was taught cinematography fundamentals at VGIK Cinema institute in Moscow, one of the oldest film schools in the world. Continuing further with the career, Romas moved to United States where he gained MFA degree and joined the film industry in Los Angeles.
Romas served as a Director of Photography for a number of films that screened and earned awards in international film festivals around the world. His thesis film ‘Simon’ was selected to compete at an established cinematography festival Camerimage, receiving attention among the world’s top-tier cinematographer community.
